Lifestyle Change Therapy in Montrose, CO
Have you been told by your Doctor…
…that you need to lose weight and change what you are eating? But you don’t know where to start? Have you tried to lose weight before and were not successful, or lost some weight only to gain it back? Is your Doctor suggesting you start medication for Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, or High Cholesterol? But you really don’t want to?
Have you every been told that our…
Unhealthy habits and routines…
…are one of the root causes to many types of health conditions, including Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Obesity, etc. You have probably been told by your doctor that you need to change some things, but that’s where the conversation ends. So you end up…
Trying to lose weight, but not having any success.
You have probably tried several approaches to weight loss in the past. Exercise programs, new diets, and medications, But you have been unable to find a solution that can last over time. So you end up…
On a medication, that you really don’t want to take.
Medications can help you get to a stable place with your health at first, but because they only address the symptoms and not the root cause of your disease, the plan then becomes for you to take them for life. So you end up…
Taking more medication / Upping your dose.
Because the unhealthy habits and routines in your daily life where not addressed, the cause of the disease is still there and causing more and more complications, even though you are taking more and more medications. Complications such as numbness in your toes/fingers, blurry vision, slow healing wounds, heart and kidney problems, joint pain, fatigue, etc. So you end up…
…Deciding to do things different!
At Healthy Living Therapy, we offer a Lifestyle Change program that addresses the root causes!

Meet JULLIAN
Your Lifestyle Change Therapist in Montrose, CO
I went into Occupational Therapy because I wanted to help people. My first years as a therapist were spent working in an inpatient rehab setting. I worked with people who had suffered life altering events such as strokes, leg amputations from diabetic ulcers, and heart attacks. I witnessed people’s medication doses increasing, but their diseases getting worse. Yes, I was helping them manage their current situation, but I felt like I was too late to make a big difference in their lives.
It was devastating to see people suffer from diseases that can mostly be prevented and managed through lifestyle changes.
From that experience, I knew that I wanted to get more on the preventative side of diseases. I have a Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science, a Masters in Occupational Therapy, and a passion for truly helping people change and live their lives to the fullest. I look forward to working alongside you!
